Engineering Legacy,
Modern Vision

Born as a dynamic extension of S.A.R. Engineering Works, founded by S.A. Dass, we carry a rich heritage of expertise and a progressive vision to be the preferred partner in the Oil, Port, Shipbuilding, and Offshore Equipment Industries.

Our work spans engineering and fabrication, equipment supply, and on-site maintenance — keeping vessels, plants, and offshore units running with less downtime and longer intervals between overhauls.

Mission & Vision

M

Our Mission

To build and repair marine and industrial equipment that works on day one and keeps working — delivered on schedule and to specification.

We design around how the equipment is actually used: the loads it carries, the access crews have to maintain it, and the downtime a failure would cost. That bias toward practical, long-life engineering shapes every job we take on.

V

Our Vision

To be the leading engineering service provider, setting global benchmarks in quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.

By 2030 we aim to be the yard that ports, refineries, and shipowners across the region call first for fabrication and repair — known for finishing on time, to class, and without surprises.

Leadership

The Visionary Behind SAR

SAR Engineering Works was founded in 1996 by S.A. Dass, a veteran in the Indian maritime engineering sector. He started with one aim: bring precise, dependable fabrication to the local shipbuilding industry.

Under his guidance, the company evolved from a specialized repair shop to a full-scale manufacturing powerhouse, now boasting two dedicated fabrication yards and a team of over 200 skilled professionals.

Today, the next generation of leadership continues this work, pairing hands-on fabrication craft with 3D modeling and automated cutting.

Principles

How We Work

Repair before replace

We extend asset life where it makes sense — renewing structure and worn components instead of defaulting to costly replacement.

Built for the conditions

Every design accounts for the loads, access, and downtime the equipment will actually face once it is in service.

On time, to class

Work is sequenced to hold the schedule and pass IRS, MMD, and ASME inspection the first time through.

One plan, end to end

The same team carries a job from drawing through fabrication to handover, so nothing falls between trades.
